Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say an Upper Yoder Township woman died Tuesday after drowning in her hot tub.
Cambria County coroner Jeff Lees identified the woman as 71-year-old Kate Blake.
Lees says Blake was reportedly found face down in the hot tub at her home along Menoher Blvd., and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say Blake reportedly fell into the hot tub and drowned.
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Blair County say an Altoona mother is facing charges after she reportedly left her four young children home alone while she attended a "drug and alcohol convention" in Ocean City, Maryland over the weekend.
Police say on Sunday evening, officers were contacted after the young children were reportedly found walking in the street.

BROOKVILLE -- The president of the Brookville Area Little League in Jefferson County faces drug charges for smoking marijuana.
Craig Griffin, 37, of Oak Street, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brookville police said Griffin was seen by an officer on March 21 leaving Dirty Ehrma's Cornerside Tavern and retrieving an item from his vehicle before he lit a pipe.
The officer said he smelled marijuana when he approached Griffin, who apologized for smoking it.

State College, PA (WJAC) — State College Borough's plan to demolish an iconic bar in town, The Brewery, to make way for more parking is sparking controversy.
At this week's borough council meeting, the council approved measures to use eminent domain to acquire the building where the Brewery and other businesses are located.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Officials are hoping a new air filtration system at the Cambria County Prison will help save tax payers money.
The county recently taking advantage of a grant to install a level five bio-grade security health system.
Cambria County is only one of four in the state taking advantage so far, according to county leaders.
The system will be installed by Germ Solutions USA.
It's supposed to mitigate airborne and surface pathogens throughout the facility.
HOUTZDALE, Pa. (WJAC) — A southern Clearfield County correctional institution is on a limited lockdown Friday after officials said an inmate assaulted and seriously injured a corrections officer Thursday night.
Department of Corrections officials said the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale will remain on limited lockdown as staff investigate the incident.
Officials said the assault happened in the housing unit pod.
Authorities said the corrections officer who was assaulted required emergency treatment outside the institution and is now in stable condition.
