WASHINGTON (TND) — Two-hundred and thirty-five days after Alexsander Trufanov was kidnapped on Oct. 7, his loved ones saw him alive on avideo published Tuesday by the group Islamic Jihad. The "proof of life" footage only adds pressure on the Israeli government to strike a deal to bring Trufanov and the remaining hostages home.
On Monday, Israel gave Qatar, Egypt and the United States an updated deal proposal that would lead to a temporary ceasefire.
RICHLAND TOWNSHIP - The Hogue's Fun Factory is opening its doors this weekend inside the Galleria.
The play place is located on the second level of the mall next to Sears.
"We were looking for a place for customers to bring their kids to a safe place to play," said Chris Hogue, co-owner of Hogue's Fun Factory.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — Penn State University sponsored a traditional Native American powwow Saturday and Sunday. People from a number of tribes and nations gathered at a State College middle school to celebrate Native American culture and spirituality.
It's an old tradition, but for many people in State College, this was their first experience with a powwow.
"It is many things at once," Victoria Sanchez, the powwow's associate coordinator, told 6 News on Sunday.
UNIVERSITY PARK -- Penn State football tickets will experience a slight increase in price in 2018.
University officials announced Monday that ticket prices will increase by $35, or $5 per game, next season at Beaver Stadium.
It will be the first season-ticket price increase since the 2009 season.
Donation levels will remain the same for next season, which will feature seven games in Beaver Stadium.
The $35 season-ticket increase is for all seats in Beaver Stadium, including the main seating bowl, the Mount Nittany Club and suites.
Sports broadcasting legend Bob Costas made his return to Johnstown this weekend for two Tomahawks games.
Costas has close ties to Johnstown. The first professional game he ever called was at the War Memorial just over 50 years ago between the Syracuse Blazers and the Johnstown Jets. He stopped back this weekend to reminisce and show his son where he got his start.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Convicted child abuser Jerry Sandusky has filed a new appeal in Centre County court.
In the 580 page appeal, Sandusky’s attorney claims there’s new evidence in the case, and is asking for a new trial.
Among the new claims is the story of young man, who reportedly initially told police that Sandusky did nothing wrong, and then a few years later, testified that Sandusky sexually assaulted him.
UPDATE | CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Jury selection wrapped Wednesday for the trial of Johnstown man Brian Giles, who is accused of killing his wife Nancy in 2018.
Including alternates, the jury with consist of 9 men and 7 women.
Giles was arrested and charged with homicide in May of 2022, following a three-and-a-half year investigation into the disappearance and death of his wife.
6 News recently sat down with Giles, at the Cambria County Prison, as he maintains his innocence in his wife's death.
UNIVERSITY PARK -- Penn State and Vice President of Athletics Sandy Barbour have selected Carolyn Kieger as the sixth head coach of the women’s basketball program. Keiger (pronounced KEE-ger), a 2019 Naismith Women’s Coach of the Year Award semifinalist, guided Marquette University to the top of the Big East Conference and three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances as the Golden Eagles’ head coach.
Kieger’s employment contract is subject to approval by the Committee on Compensation of the Penn State Board of Trustees.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say a South Fork man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
Police say officers were notified of the alleged assaults earlier this month after the victim reported being sexually assaulted by 19-year-old William Douglas.
Investigators say the victim recalled multiple incidents where she was reportedly assaulted by Douglas and "forced" to engage in sexual activity.
MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — South Dakota advocates submitted petitions Wednesday in their effort to amend the state constitution to include the right to abortion, at least under some circumstances.
Signatures are also expected to be turned in Friday in Missouri for a ballot measure there.
The efforts in both states are part of a movement to put abortion rights questions to voters since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and removed the nationwide right to abortion.
