TACOMA, Wash. (KOMO) — A federal investigation into a drug-trafficking operation with ties to a white supremacist prison gang led federal agents to seize nearly two million doses of fentanyl, more than 200 pounds of methamphetamine, and more than 200 guns. They also made 24 arrests.
Federal officials said the operation moved drugs from Mexico through Washington state, Idaho, and Alaska.
“Not only are we seeing the drugs coming in from Mexico, but we’re also seeing the sheer amount of weapons that we seize, some of those are going down to Mexico to fuel the violence of the cartels down there in Mexico,” Acting Special Agent in Charge Jacob Galvin with the Drug Enforcement Administration in Seattle said.

University officials say next year's game will be held on Saturday, April 13 at Beaver Stadium and is expected to kickoff sometime in the early to mid-afternoon.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — The president of Penn State is getting a 2.5% salary increase and trustees are making it retroactive to the beginning of July.
The Board of Trustees on Friday voted unanimously to boost Eric Barron's base pay to $855,000 a year.
He's been Penn State's top administrator since 2014.
The Centre Daily Times says that together with an annual retention bonus of $200,000, Barron will be paid more than $1 million.
UPDATE | Jefferson Co., PA (WJAC) — Officials with the Punxsutawney Area School District confirmed to 6 News that the school board has officially accepted the resignation of co-principal Paul Hetrick.
District officials say Hetrick submitted his resignation on Monday and the school board voted to approve it on Tuesday.
Hetrick said in a statement that he was resigning from his position due to "personal struggles."
The school district confirmed that Hetrick is no longer an employee and a disciplinary hearing that was scheduled for next week has now been cancelled.
ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons have hired Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as their head coach after an exhaustive search that included six-time Super Bowl winner Bill Belichick, a person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team had not made an announcement.
The 47-year-old Morris is a familiar name in Atlanta, having served as the Falcons' interim head coach for the final 11 games of the 2020 season after the firing of Dan Quinn.

STONYCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — State police in Somerset County are investigating a fatal accident that happened Saturday morning.
According to a release, 21-year-old Alex Fitchett died after falling off an all-terrain vehicle on Boone Road near Huckleberry Highway.
Police said while Fitchett was driving, he hit a large puddle and fell off the ATV. Officials said Fitchett died from his injuries after falling off the vehicle.
State police and the Somerset County coroner are investigating.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A Cambria County company is lending a hand to make sure the American Flag stays waving above Johnstown’s Inclined Plane.
Three flags that were above the Inclined Plane are being repaired by seamstresses at Martin-Baker America.
People working on the flags say there are tears on them because of strong winds.
Those involved say they're also going to try and strengthen another flag that had some weaker areas.
VENTURA, Calif. (TND) — California police announced Thursday they rescued a 17-year-old girl allegedly trafficked into the U.S. by a Mexican national after she texted clues to authorities.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Gerardo Cruz, who purportedly helped traffic the girl from Mexico more than two months ago, and charged him with human trafficking, forcible rape, sexual penetration with force, lewd acts upon a child and luring.
The girl texted pleas for help to 911 one night last week and provided officers landmarks to identify where she was, according to the sheriff’s department.
