HUNTINGDON, Pa. (WJAC) — Sheetz says an employee at one of their Huntingdon County locations has tested positive for COVID-19. They say the employee works at their store along 1330 Moore Street in Huntingdon. Sheetz says they are making the public aware as communities continue to fight the spread of the virus. Johnstown Tomahawks formally introduce new coach

Johnstown's Central Park could be impacted by downtown improvements

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A city official confirms to 6 News that a major project to revitalize and beautify downtown Johnstown could impact Central Park. Economic Development Director John Dubnansky said the $24 million downtown project announced in February will target the inclined plane, the train station as well as sidewalks and improvements to Main Street. He said changes to the park could be part of final design. Dubnansky said a team in New York City will design several options for the city.

Parents of Penn State student Timothy Piazza continue motion to resolve ongoing civil suit

His death sparked new hazing legislation, along with a nationwide awareness campaign, but a civil suit filed by his parents has still not been resolved. Earlier this week, in federal court, James and Evelyn Piazza asked a judge for a ruling that could end a years-long delay in their wrongful death suit.

Giraffe gives birth in Colorado's Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (STORYFUL) -- Msitu, a 10-year-old reticulated giraffe, gave birth to her third baby on the afternoon of July 6 at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the zoo announced. The video shows the calf emerging from its mother, then dropping approximately six feet onto the six inches of sand that covers the bottom of the zoo’s giraffe birthing stall, according to the zoo. The fall naturally severs the umbilical cord and stimulates independent breathing.
