Closing arguments set as Chad Daybell's murder trial nears jury decision

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — The capital murder trial of Chad Daybell is moving towards the final phase before the case is handed over to the jury. Chad Daybell is charged with murdering his wife, Tammy Daybell, and his then-mistress Lori Vallow's children, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan. Chad and Lori were married on a beach in Hawaii just a few weeks after Tammy died. Closing arguments are scheduled to begin Wednesday morning.

Corrections officer at SCI Houtzdale was planning to sell drugs to inmates

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Investigators with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections say a corrections officer at SCI Houtzdale is facing charges after planning to bring contraband to the prison in exchange for money last week. Investigators say the DOC was told by a confidential informant that Marvin Harris Jr. was coordinating with an inmate to bring Suboxone and papers soaked with synthetic cannabinoids to the prison in exchange for $2,500.

DuBois woman supplied meth to 12-year-old, child attended school under influence: Police

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a DuBois woman provided methamphetamine to a 12-year-old child. According to the City of DuBois Police Department, 37-year-old Amanda Coder faces charges related to endangering the welfare of children along with corruption of minors. Police say they were called in Sept. for reports of Coder possibly providing or smoking meth with the child at her Quarry Ave. Apartment. They say Children and Youth Services were contacted and found traces of meth in the child’s urine but neither the child, nor Coder disclosed why the drug would have been present.

Massachusetts man accused of causing disturbance on flight will face judge

BOSTON (WJAR) — The man accused of causing a disturbance on a flight from Los Angeles to Boston will appear in federal court on Thursday. Francisco Severo Torres is set to face a federal judge in Boston. He is currently being held at the Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls. Federal prosecutors say Torres allegedly tried to open the exit door of the plane and then attempted to stab a flight attendant with a broken spoon during the Sunday flight.

Snowmobile club looks to raise money for club member battling rare form of cancer
